The Bulldog Pantry Student Coordinators
Student Coordinator
Heidy Gonzalez
"Hello! My name is Heidy Gonzalez and this is my 3rd year being a Student Coordinator at the Bulldog Pantry. I started interning at the Bulldog Pantry since I was a freshman at Fresno State. I graduated in 2017 from Porterville High School and came into Fresno State as a Sociology major, soon I added two minors in Civic Urban Education and Humanics. I saw interning at the Bulldog Pantry as a great opportunity for me to become more hands on with my new community in Fresno and enhance my civic engagement through volunteer service in a prominent social issue that is food insecurity. I can say that the Bulldog Pantry has had a huge positive impact on my life in that I am able to develop communication, time management, organizing, and leadership skills. I also get to work closely in identifying, and addressing a social issue that impacts a significant number of our community members. I am glad that I made the choice to be a part of the Bulldog Pantry team and am excited to see what the future has in store for us!"
Student Coordinator
Jacqueline Avina
"Hello! My name is Jacqueline Avina. I am the new Student Coordinator at the Bulldog Pantry! I am also a part of the Students In Service program. I am currently a freshman at the University of Fresno State. I have moved to Fresno from Hanford to be able to pursue a dependable career with education that I will value for the rest of my life. I am from a family of 4 with a brother and 2 small adorable dogs. I chose to be a part of the Students in Service program because I wanted to be more involved in bettering the community. I decided to join the pantry because I grew up in similar circumstances to those that we are providing a service to. It feels good to give back. I look forward to the memories to come!"
